Equipment Donation and Sharing

Sharing or donating your lab equipment:

• Sharing equipment: Equipment can remain in your lab, or be moved to a shared space managed by the Green Labs Core. We stipulate that equipment that we manage must be available to all properly-trained campus users. Contact the Shared Equipment Coordinator to discuss sharing options.
  • Donating equipment: If your lab is trying to free up space or clean out underutilized equipment, consider donating it to the Green Labs Core. If the equipment is usable or easily repaired, it will either be move to a shared lab or offered to labs who may need it. We will take instruments working or broken if they are deemed useful for the program. For anything that the Green Labs Core cannot take in, we will point you to the correct channels to surplus or dispose of it. Contact the Green Labs Core with questions about this process.
  • When a PI retires or leaves campus the Green Labs Core is willing to inspect the lab and nominate equipment for inclusion in the shared equipment program.
  • Contact the Shared Equipment Coordinator to discuss equipment sharing or donations.
