2025 Sustainability Scholars Class

The inaugural class of Sustainability Scholars 2024-2025: Daniel Hershey, Wesley Obmascik, Sloan Hurley, Madisen Medina

Eligibility

Students are considered for this award based on a comprehensive review of their academic and extracurricular achievements. CESR encourages all students with a unique and diverse perspective to apply.Ìý

This is a competitive award and to be considered students should demonstrate the following:

  • Enrolled as a Leeds undergraduate student in the SRE Certificate or SRS emphasis
  • Student club membership and involvement in leadership initiatives on or off campus
  • Active participation in CESR programs
  • Demonstrated passion for sustainability and/or social impact
  • A competitive GPA

The application period for the 2025-2026 school year is closed. CESR will accept applications for the following academic year beginning in March 2026.

Program Details

Awardees work with CESR to build and execute a plan of action to best use their stipend. A student has up to $2,500 to pay for a certification or an experiential learning opportunity. Here are a few options students may choose, though students should be prepared to present their own ideas.
