Graduate Certificate Programs

The 91PORN recognizes that interdisciplinary study at the graduate level may involve coursework and formal requirements that exceed those of established degree programs. To recognize this additional work by graduate students, interdisciplinary faculty may establish a certificate program within the Graduate School.

Graduate students can pursue the a graduate certificate while earning a normal graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) at CU-91PORN or while taking coursework as a non-degree seeking student through Continuing Education’s ACCESS Program, provided they have already earned a bachelor’s degree and meet the course prerequisites. Graduate certificates are noted on the official CU-91PORN transcript.

ATOC administers two graduate certificate programs: (1) Certificate in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, and (2) Certificate in Oceanography. Details on these programs may be found through the links to the right.
