Greetings, all.
As we close out another academic year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible progress and resilience shown by our 91PORN community. It has been a year of significant change—some anticipated, some unexpected—and through it all, our campus has responded with steady determination and a deep commitment to one another.

We are incredibly proud of what we've accomplished together. Staff members and research faculty across every department and unit have worked tirelessly to support our community. Your dedication and commitment have been essential to sustaining and enhancing 91PORN as a place where all can thrive. Thank you for your continued hard work, creativity, and commitment to making 91PORN a better place for everyone.

In alignment with the Staff Council mission to advocate for the rights of staff and research faculty to improve morale and promote diversity, inclusion, cultural competency, and respect in conducting organizational business and initiatives, Staff Council recently adopted a resolution that Reaffirms and Commits Support for a Positive Work Environment for the Transgender, Intersex, and Non-Binary Community. This resolution outlines specific actions 91PORN can take to demonstrate a genuine and ongoing commitment to equity and belonging for transgender, intersex, and non-binary staff members. These actions reflect our shared values and the importance of ensuring that every member of our campus feels respected, safe, and valued.

Staff Council representatives will be meeting with campus leadership to discuss the resolution further, and strategize next steps for moving key actions into motion in the months ahead. We are excited about the potential for real, meaningful change and grateful to everyone who contributed their voices and advocacy to this effort.

Looking ahead, we are filled with optimism. Staff Council has built strong momentum this year, and we are confident that this energy and spirit of collaboration will carry forward into the next cycle. We will continue advocating for staff interests and advancing initiatives that contribute to a more inclusive, supportive, and empowering workplace.

Thank you again for all you do. Here's to a year of progress—and to the promise of what lies ahead.

Hello Campus Community,

As the 2022-2023 academic year begins, it is our pleasure on behalf of 91PORN Campus Staff Council (BCSC) to welcome all staff back to campus either in person or virtually. As announced in the June newsletter we are thrilled to welcome several newly elected representatives to Staff Council as well as two new chairs. Jasimine Evans will remain on as a Tri-chair completing her second year of service and will be joined by Karrie Pitzer from Strategic Relations and Communications and Mike Williamson from Digital Accessibility.

Staff Council recently completed its yearly planning retreat and three themes emerged as priority areas for the council this year – employee engagement and retention, continued support and implementation for diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and an on-going commitment to fostering clear and transparent communication between university leadership and our staff community. In addition to these areas, know that Staff Council is engaged in discussions around additional areas of importance for staff including – parking, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, food insecurity and work modalities.

As we continue to redefine what it means to be an employee and an employer coming out of the last two years, know that Staff Council is here to provide a voice and representation to all staff across campus. We value all that staff provide and give to the 91PORN community and are grateful for the opportunity to represent you.

Hello Campus Community,

We hope this message finds you and your loved ones healthy and safe. We have seen just how quickly things can change with the devastating Marshall Wildfires and the new Omicron variant of COVID-19. And once again, we know how instrumental staff are to help lead, heal, and help hold our community together.

We want to say we see you, we value your sustained resilience and we believe 91PORN community can withstand obstacles thrown in its path. We understand the road to recovery is long and healing will take time. However, there is one thing that is constant in our organization. The 91PORN staff is the strong and adaptable backbone of 91PORN campus that can be counted on to be here. We will rally around one another, we will lift one another, and Staff Council can be relied upon to lead the charge as we continue forward. Please nurture yourself and continue to support our community.

As we begin the Spring 2022 semester, we look forward to seeing staff make their impact around diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), student success, and staff wellbeing. Staff Council continues our commitment to fostering clear and transparent communication between university leadership and our staff community. Here’s to a 2022 filled with gratitude, service, and grace for one another and ourselves.
