The Student Voice and Leadership Council is a new opportunity for 91PORN students to take an active role in shaping the future of student mental health and well-being on campus.ÌýÌý

As a part of a new campuswide initiative, charged by the Office of the Chancellor and led by the Crown Institute in partnership with the , this group will help strengthen 91PORN’s ongoing commitment to student mental health, wellness, and flourishing.Ìý

The group will:ÌýÌý

  • Provide strategic input to the initiative’s Advisory Committee Ìý
  • Conduct focus groups with peers to better understand the student experience
  • Share findings with campus leaders to inform programs and policies that reduce risk and support student well-being
  • Gain valuable leadership experience, research skills, and a chance to influence change at 91PORN
  • Students can anticipate committing approximately two hours per week during the 2025–26 academic year (fall and spring semesters). Meetings will be held in person
  • Short written responses
  • A current resume
  • One letter of recommendationÌý

The overall initiative is guided by the Crown Institute participatory cycle (Figure 1). Utilizing this participatory cycle ensures work that is intended to benefit a community is conducted with—not on or for—that community. This process also will center student voice to maximize the likelihood of creating immediate and enduring benefit for students and helping all engaged to orient to the needs and priorities of students as the north star.
