Samantha Correa

Samantha is currently pursuing her PsyD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Denver. Prior to joining CAPS, Samantha gained experience across hospital, outpatient community mental health, and university counseling center settings. Samantha enjoys providing individual services for young adults as well as relationship counseling for couples. Samantha is also bilingual and is passionate about providing culturally attuned services for Spanish-speaking students. Samantha believes that the therapeutic relationship is crucial to movement and growth towards reaching a student's goals, so she aims to build a genuinely collaborative relationship with all of her clients. In addition to a relational approach, Samantha draws upon internal family systems (IFS), mindfulness-based, and contemporary psychodynamic interventions as she and the client see fit. Samantha aims to embody a warm, curious presence in order to create an exploratory space for students.
